This month's hunt sends you somewhere worth the trip on its own: the soaring five-story lobby of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. It's one of the most beautiful rooms on all of Walt Disney World property — open-air balconies, a live orchestra on the landing, stained glass overhead — and hanging right in the middle of it is a Hidden Mickey that thousands of guests walk directly beneath without ever looking up.

The hunt

Stand: in the center of the main lobby, on the ground floor.

Look: straight up at the large chandelier, from directly below it.

Spot: the chandelier's three circular tiers line up — a big ring and two smaller ones — and from that one spot directly underneath, they align into the classic head-and-two-ears Mickey silhouette.

It's a perspective Mickey: it only resolves from one exact spot on the floor. Step a few feet in any direction and it scatters back into a chandelier. That's what makes it fun.

While you're there

The Grand Floridian is a monorail resort and free to visit, so this is an easy add-on to a Magic Kingdom day — hop off at the resort, look up, then stay for the live music and a cup of something from the lobby-level lounge. No reservation, no ticket.
