September is peak Halloween season at Magic Kingdom, and the star of it is Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) — the separate-ticket event running select nights from August 7 through October 31. Our mocktail of the month is one of the party's most photogenic pours: the Scary Ghost Slushy.

What it is

A blue raspberry slushy topped with fluffy marshmallow foam and a little marshmallow ghost bobbing on top — $6.79, non-alcoholic. It's sweet, frozen, bright blue, and built for a photo before you drink it. You'll find it at Pinocchio Village Haus in Fantasyland.

The catch worth knowing

This one is party-exclusive. The Scary Ghost Slushy is only sold during Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, so you'll need a party ticket to get one — you won't find it on a regular Magic Kingdom day. Plan accordingly.

Frozen, blue, and crowned with a marshmallow ghost — it's the everyone-can-order-it treat of the Halloween party, and the ghost is the whole point.

Why this one for September

It earns the month because September is Not-So-Scary season, and this is the drink that captures it — kid-friendly, alcohol-free, and pure Halloween whimsy. Grab one early in your party night before the line builds, and let the ghost melt slowly while you trick-or-treat.

One party treat, scouted — what it is, where it hides, and the ticket you need to get it.

It's one of hundreds of drinks mapped in Starlit Magic, including the best zero-proof and non-alcoholic picks by park — so there's always a great order for whoever isn't drinking.
