The feast
It comes out in courses. First the warm pineapple-coconut bread and a salad, then a spread of honey-coriander chicken wings, pork dumplings, noodles, and stir-fried vegetables. Then the main event: skewers of mesquite-grilled meats — steak, chicken, shrimp, and sausage — carried around the dining room and served straight off the skewer, with a lineup of dipping sauces (that peanut sauce has a cult following). Save room, because dessert is the legendary 'Ohana Bread Pudding in warm bananas-foster caramel sauce.
Where it is
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, a monorail resort on Seven Seas Lagoon. Some tables catch the Magic Kingdom fireworks and the Electrical Water Pageant drifting past across the water — a quiet bonus if the timing lines up.
