The Premise
The land is built around a corrupted wishing well hidden deep in a dark, overgrown forest. The story goes that the well’s magic soured long ago, and the twisted energy it now gives off is what draws Disney’s most infamous villains to gather around it. It’s a smart bit of world-building: instead of a random collection of bad guys, the well gives the whole land a reason to exist and a center of gravity for everything around it.
Two Rides Are Confirmed
Disney confirmed two attractions. The headliner is a roller coaster themed to Maleficent — riders race through a wall of enchanted briars wrapped around her mountaintop fortress. Imagineers teased ride hardware that would be new to Disney parks, though they stopped short of saying exactly what. The coaster’s official name hasn’t been locked in yet.
The second is a boat ride — not a walk-through dark ride, despite some early chatter — that carries guests down into the Evil Queen’s catacombs, with the Magic Mirror itself narrating the descent.
