Good news for anyone who's tried — and failed — to score a reservation at Beak and Barrel: Magic Kingdom's wildly popular Pirates of the Caribbean bar looks like it's about to get a walk-up option. A "Join Walk-Up List" button has quietly appeared on the bar's page in the My Disney Experience app. It isn't switched on yet, but the arrival of that button is usually the tell that walk-ups are coming soon.
The catch, for now
The option isn't active. Disney hasn't officially announced walk-ups or given a start date — right now this is an app change fans noticed, not a press release. So don't count on strolling up today. But it's a strong signal the change is close, and it's exactly the kind of thing that tends to flip live without much warning.
Why this matters
Since it opened in August 2025, Beak and Barrel has been one of the toughest tables to book at Walt Disney World — advance dining reservations tend to vanish the moment they're released, on par with EPCOT's GEO-82. A walk-up list would crack the door open for the many guests who can't win the booking race, letting you add your name on the day of your visit instead. Worth setting expectations: like Oga's Cantina, the bar runs a 45-minute time limit and a two-drink maximum per guest, so walk-up spots will still move quickly.
For a bar this hard to book, a walk-up list is the difference between "someday" and "tonight."
What it is, if you haven't been
Beak and Barrel is a Pirates-themed tavern in Adventureland, tucked right by the exit to Pirates of the Caribbean. It's all ages, with tropical cocktails, thoughtful mocktails (the Treasure Trove and the Cursed Treasure among them), beer, wine, and small bites — plus a souvenir skull mug and interactive surprises led by Rummy, the chatty parrot who bears a striking resemblance to the old Barker Bird that once sat at the ride's entrance. Order the right drink and the whole room can come alive.
What to do
If a Magic Kingdom day is coming up, keep an eye on the Beak and Barrel page in My Disney Experience — the moment that walk-up list goes live, it becomes the easiest way in. In the meantime, advance reservations remain the surest bet, so keep booking those the usual way. We'll update the moment Disney flips the switch.
Accurate as of July 9, 2026. The walk-up option had appeared in the app but was not yet active at publication.
