October's pin celebrates a big birthday: Dumbo turns 85. Walt Disney World marks it with the Dumbo 85th Anniversary Mini Jumbo pin.
What it is
A Mini Jumbo pin that sets Dumbo on top of his own name as a pin-on-pin, with translucent fill and favorite characters from the film tucked into the letters. It's a Limited Edition of 4,000 — a real collector's piece, not an open-edition release.
When & where
It's expected to release at Walt Disney World on October 6. ("Expected" is Disney's word — pin release dates do shift, so confirm before you make a trip of it.) Because it's a Limited Edition of 4,000, popular LE pins can sell through on release day, so if it's on your list, plan to shop early.
Dumbo first flew on October 23, 1941. Eighty-five years later, he's a 4,000-piece pin-on-pin — and those go fast.
Why this one for October
Dumbo premiered on October 23, 1941, so the anniversary is genuinely an October story — and an LE 4,000 release tied to an 85th is exactly the kind of pin collectors circle on the calendar.
One release, worth circling — the pin and the plan.
