Disney's newest resort is coming into focus. Disney's Lakeshore Lodge — a nature-themed waterfront resort planned for the south shore of Bay Lake — just got its first interior reveal, courtesy of Disney's ongoing "Letters from Lakeshore" series. It's projected to open in summer 2027, and here's a look at what's planned.
One note up front: everything below is Disney's own reveal, but it's all still projected and subject to change — the resort is more than a year out, nothing is bookable yet, and no opening dates or prices have been set for the individual venues.
The Basics
Lakeshore Lodge will sit on the tranquil south shore of Bay Lake, a short boat ride from Magic Kingdom. Disney has announced 967 rooms ranging from studios to suites, plus new waterfront Lake Houses in one- and two-bedroom layouts. The whole resort leans into a nature theme, with design nods to animated classics like Bambi, Pocahontas, and Brother Bear. Many rooms are planned to offer Bay Lake views by day and Magic Kingdom fireworks by night.
The Lobby
The arrival experience is built around the outdoors. Floor-to-ceiling windows will frame the resort's "Wetlands" recreation area, while the design pulls directly from Pocahontas: a shimmering fiber-optic river runs through the floor, and a blown-glass Colors of the Wind sculpture — hundreds of suspended glass leaves — hangs overhead. Expect natural materials throughout, including accents of river-recovered cypress wood.
Where You'll Eat
Three dining venues were revealed, each tied to the lakeside setting:
- Moonglade — the signature table-service restaurant, right on the lakefront, with floor-to-ceiling windows over the cypress trees and a menu built on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.
- Bay Lake Provisions — an all-day quick-service marketplace with specialty coffee and fresh fare in an open-kitchen setting. Keep an eye out for hidden woodland critters worked into the space.
- Paint Out Point Bar & Grill — a poolside bar near Lakeshore Lagoon with shareable bites, themed around plein-air painting and decorated with original artwork from Imagineers.
The Fireworks Lounge
The standout for a lot of guests will be Dandelion Terrace, an evening lounge positioned for Magic Kingdom fireworks views across Bay Lake. It's designed as a two-story gallery of archival artwork from Disney classics like Fantasia, finished with whimsical dandelion light fixtures — a slow-down-and-watch-the-show kind of space.

The Pools & The Wetlands
From an earlier "letter," the outdoor recreation area — The Wetlands — will center on Lakeshore Lagoon, a zero-entry feature pool with a spiral waterslide. A quieter Cypress Point leisure pool and whirlpool spa sits on the opposite side, positioned for evening fireworks. There's also a Daydream River lazy river, plus Pocahontas-inspired play areas (Heron Shores and Otter Springs) for younger guests.
What This Means
This is a first look, not a grand opening — so treat it as a preview of a resort still taking shape. But it's a meaningful one: it confirms Lakeshore Lodge as a full Deluxe-tier, Magic Kingdom-adjacent resort with a table-service restaurant, a fireworks lounge, and a serious pool complex.
